Total Medical Solutions (TMS) has appointed Tricia R. Ferguson, PHR to Director of Human Resources and Administration. For the past year, Ferguson served TMS as a senior human resource consultant with Insurance Office of America before accepting the full-time position.
Ferguson has more than 18 years of human resource management and consulting experience. She has managed all aspects of human resources, including workers' compensation benefits, employee relations, payroll, and recruiting for organizations in the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors. She has also consulted with business owners and managers on a range of human resource issues.

Along the way, Ferguson developed a training program called S.M.I.L.E. (Smart Managers Influence by Leading Employees) which encompasses time management, business ethics, sexual harassment, performance management and interview skills. She is also an authorized trainer of OSHA 10 and 30-hour classes.
Active in professional organizations, Ferguson currently serves as president of the Central Florida Human Resource Association (CFHRA). Since 2000, she has been certified through the Human Resource Certification Institute as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR). She is also a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and is involved in the HR Florida State Council.
